Discover Clearspring Organic & Japanese Foods

Clearspring is a family-run food brand specialising in organic and authentic Japanese foods. Established in 1993, the company works with traditional producers and organic farmers to create a wide-ranging collection of Japanese ingredients and plant-based store-cupboard staples.

At Porridge, you’ll find a varied selection of Clearspring products for everything from making miso soup and noodle dishes to sushi, stir-fries and everyday cooking.

Clearspring Miso

Clearspring miso is one of the best-known parts of the range, with different varieties offering their own distinctive flavours and uses.

Our selection includes Clearspring Organic Japanese White Miso Paste and Clearspring Organic Japanese Brown Rice Miso Paste, alongside convenient options such as Clearspring Organic White Miso Soup Paste and Organic Instant Miso Soup.

Miso is a versatile Japanese store-cupboard ingredient that can be used to add rich umami flavour to soups, broths, sauces, marinades and dressings.

Japanese Noodles, Sauces & Seasonings

Clearspring offers a wide selection of Japanese cooking ingredients for creating everything from quick noodle dishes to more traditional Japanese recipes at home.

Our range includes sauces and seasonings such as Clearspring Organic Yaemon Tamari Soya Sauce, Organic Shoyu Soya Sauce and Clearspring Organic Mikawa Mirin.

You’ll also find convenient options including Clearspring Organic Instant Noodle Broth and Organic Vegan Pad Thai Sauce, alongside more specialist Japanese ingredients for experimenting with different flavours at home.

Clearspring Tofu & Plant-Based Foods

Clearspring Organic Silken Tofu is a versatile plant-based ingredient with a smooth, delicate texture that works across both savoury and sweet recipes.

Choose the handy Clearspring Organic Silken Tofu 200g or the larger Clearspring Organic Silken Tofu Long Life 300g.

The wider Clearspring range at Porridge also includes plant-based store-cupboard ingredients such as organic soya mince and soya chunks.

Sushi Rice, Nori & Japanese Ingredients

If you’re making sushi at home, Clearspring produces many of the essentials in one range.

Start with Clearspring Organic Sushi Rice and choose from Clearspring Organic Toasted Sushi Nori or Organic Un-toasted Sushi Nori.

Our wider collection includes Japanese seasonings and speciality ingredients such as wasabi powder, toasted sesame oil and other useful additions to the Japanese store cupboard.

Organic Oils & Store-Cupboard Staples

Although Clearspring is particularly well known for Japanese food, the range extends into a much broader selection of organic pantry staples.

At Porridge you’ll find organic cooking oils including Clearspring Organic Toasted Sesame Oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil and extra virgin olive oil.

The range also includes beans, pulses, crispbreads and other everyday organic foods, giving you plenty to discover beyond the brand’s Japanese collection.

Japanese Teas & Something Different

Clearspring’s range is a great place to discover ingredients and drinks that you may not come across in an everyday supermarket.

Our collection includes traditional Japanese teas such as Clearspring Organic Japanese Kukicha Roasted Twig Tea and Organic Japanese Hojicha Powder, alongside specialist ingredients for exploring Japanese cooking at home.

Organic & Plant-Based Foods

Organic food has been central to Clearspring since the business was established in 1993. Many products within the range are certified organic and plant-based, with Clearspring also placing emphasis on traditional production methods and long-standing relationships with its producers.

This combination of traditional Japanese foods and everyday organic pantry staples is what makes the Clearspring range particularly varied.
