From Postal Pantry to Porridge
Our story began in 2020 with Postal Pantry, a mail order and local delivery service created to provide essentials to people during the COVID lockdown. As demand grew, we expanded into a trusted source for sustainable shopping, offering quality wholefoods, eco-friendly household products, and pantry staples to customers across the UK.
In 2022, we took the next step by establishing Porridge in Brixham after taking over Oats Healthy Living Store, a successful family-run health food shop with a loyal local following. The previous owners were retiring, and we saw an opportunity to continue their legacy while bringing our own vision to life. The transition to the name Porridge was a natural evolution, reflecting our commitment to wholesome, nourishing food and sustainable living. Now, we bring together the best of both worlds: a brick-and-mortar store filled with fresh, high-quality products and an online shopping option via Postal Pantry, ensuring sustainable shopping remains convenient for all.
