Porridge is a family-run independent health food shop and café based in the heart of Brixham, Devon. Since opening in 2022, we’ve carefully grown into a welcoming local shop, bringing together wholefoods, natural supplements, eco-friendly household products, thoughtful gifts and great coffee under one roof.
Whether you’re shopping online or visiting us in store, our aim has always been the same: to offer friendly service, carefully chosen products and a place where everyone feels welcome.
From Postal Pantry to Porridge
Our journey began during the national lockdown in 2020 with Postal Pantry, a local delivery and online service created to help people access everyday essentials from home.
As restrictions eased, it became clear that people wanted more than home delivery. They wanted somewhere local where they could browse, ask questions and discover products they couldn’t easily find elsewhere. That idea became Porridge.
In 2022 we opened our doors in the heart of Brixham, creating a welcoming independent shop where quality, sustainability and personal service come together.

We don’t try to stock everything. Instead, we carefully choose products we’d happily recommend ourselves, from trusted natural health brands and everyday pantry essentials to eco-friendly household products and thoughtful gifts.
