Seedball Short Haired Bumblebee Tin

This tin is part of a set launched in 2023 to celebrate the anniversary of the first Seedball tin back in 2013. At Seedball, our mission is to inspire more people to grow wildflowers in their gardens to support pollinators. As part of our anniversary celebrations, we launched these tins to raise awareness about three declining British bee species and highlight the importance of scattering seed balls!

The Short-Haired Bumblebee Mix is particularly special. The Short-Haired Bumblebee was declared extinct in 2000, but since 2011, a successful reintroduction project has been underway in Dungeness, Southern England. This project not only focuses on the Short-Haired Bumblebee but also works to protect and improve local wild habitats, benefiting other bumblebee species as well.
